Privacy Policy
Liza AI (“Liza”, “we”, “us”) makes a personal money app for individual use. This policy explains, in plain language, what information the app handles, why, who helps us process it, and how you can remove it. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@lizaapp.com.
What we collect
- Your account — your email address, used to sign you in (a one-time link, or Google sign-in if you choose it). We don’t use passwords.
- What you enter — the income, expenses, bills, goals, categories, and notes you log, plus your chosen currency and starting balance. This is the core of the app; it stays private to your account.
- Your chats with Liza — the messages you send in the app and short summaries the app keeps so conversations feel continuous.
- A few setup answers — e.g. how you earn and what you most want help with, used to make Liza’s advice fit you.
- Notifications — if you turn on reminders, a device token so we can send them. You can turn this off anytime.
We do not connect to your bank. There is no account linking or bank scraping — every entry is one you added by typing, voice, or a photo.
How we use it
- To run the app’s features — your Safe-to-Spend number, goals, bill reminders, and Liza’s answers.
- To send you sign-in emails and, if enabled, the reminders you asked for.
- To keep the app working and fix problems.
We do not sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of trusted services to run the app. They process your data only to provide their part of the service:
- Supabase — securely stores your data and handles sign-in.
- Anthropic (Claude) — powers Liza’s replies and reads receipt photos you choose to send.
- Groq — turns your voice recordings into text when you log by voice.
- Expo — delivers push notifications to your phone.
- Brevo — sends your sign-in emails.
- Google — only if you choose “Continue with Google” to sign in.
How it’s kept safe
Your data is encrypted in transit, and each account’s data is isolated so only you can access yours. Photos and voice clips are used to read the entry, not stored as a permanent library of your media.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your information for as long as you use the app. You’re in control:
- Edit or delete individual entries anytime inside the app.
- Delete your whole account from Profile → Delete account. This permanently erases your account and all of its data — transactions, goals, bills, and chats — and cannot be undone.
Children
Liza is intended for adults managing their own money and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above.
